Comics can be just as helpful for getting a child to learn as regular books.  Here are some helpful links for kids and parents to find the right books and a shop to buy them at for any age group.  I recommend Sonic, Megaman, Archie and My Little Pony myself!  All are excellent and safe reads for kids of all ages.
